Dream in Twilight: Animatic

This is my MA film; it's an animated short, less than two minutes long, intended for festivals. The narrative consists of a young prostitute, Violet, who dreams of escape from drudgery into a vivid endless night of dancing. Her dream comes to life.

The style is intentionally close to stop mo, especially in terms of texturing, and as a flat cut out, Violet will move in a wonky though delicate manner.

Research report:

The clouds are made by scanning cotton wool models, then photoshop, then mapping onto basic planes in 3d max. The moon and stars are covered in mirrorball texture.
